§ FAITH IS NOT CONFINED TO THEINDIVIDUAL, BUT IS SEEN IN THE HOUSEHOLD AFFECTING ALL WHO LIVE THERE.
· THE ATMOSPHERE OF FAITH IN THE HOMECONSISTS OF BEING SEPARATE FROM THE WORLD AND SET APART UNTO GOD.
¨ CHILDREN ARE TAUGHT THAT AS FOLLOWERSOF GOD WE LIVEDIFFERENTLY THAN OTHER PEOPLE. THE PARENT’S LIFE IS TO DEMONSTRATE AND MODEL THATSEPARATION.
§ FAITH FOR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN:
· YOU CAN’T GIVE YOUR CHILDREN FAITH, BUTYOU CAN GIVE THEM A MODEL OF THE FAITH LIFE.
¨ THE MAN OF STRONG FAITH IS A BLESSINGTO HIS CHILDREN AND PASSES ON A WAY OF LIFE TO THEM.
Ø ENOCH BLESSED HIS SON WITH GOD’SMESSAGE.
Ø NOAH BLESSED HIS CHILDREN WITH PHYSICALSALVATION FROM THE FLOOD.

§ THE FAITH OF ISAAC:
· FOR WHAT DID HE HAVE FAITH? (GEN27:28-29)
¨ HE HAD FAITH FOR THE TRANSMISSION OFTHE BLESSING OF THE COVENANT RELATIONSHIP THAT GOD GAVE TO ABRAHAM. BY FAITH IT WOULD BE PASSED ON TO HIS CHILDREN.
Ø GOD WOULD BLESS HIS SON WITH HEAVENLYFAVOR.
Ø GOD WOULD BLESS HIS SON WITHPROSPERITY.
Ø GOD WOULD BLESS HIS SON WITH TRIBALLEADERSHIP.
Ø HIS SON WOULD BE A FOUNTAIN OF BLESSINGTO THOSE WHO BLESSED HIM AND A CURSE TO THOSE WHO CURSED HIM.
§ THE FAITH OF JACOB:
· FOR WHAT DID HE HAVE FAITH? (GEN47:29-30 GEN 48:3-6)
¨ HE HAD FAITH TO BELIEVE THAT THEISRAELITES WOULD ONE DAY RETURN TO THE PROMISE LAND FROM EGYPT.
Ø HE HAD FAITH TO BELIEVE THAT HE WOULDBE BURIED IN THE PROMISE LAND.
Ø HE HAD FAITH TO BELIEVE THAT THECOVENANT RELATIONSHIP WITH ITS PROMISES WAS PASSED DOWN TO HIM, AND THAT IT WOULD BE PASSED TO HIS CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN:
§ -MANY DESCENDANTS (FRUITFUL ANDMULTIPLY).
§ -THE PROMISE LAND WOULD BE THEIRSFOREVER.
§ THE FAITH OF JOSEPH:

¨ HE HAD FAITH TO BELIEVE HIS CHILDRENWOULD HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

§ IT IS A RECOGNITION THAT CHILDREN ARELENT TO PARENTS ONLY FOR A PERIOD OF TIME.
§ IT IS RECOGNITION THAT YOU AREANSWERABLE TO GOD FOR THE PROVISION AND PROTECTION OF YOUR CHILDREN.
Ø THE FAITH OF MOSES’ PARENTS:

· THEY TRUSTED GOD FOR THE WELL-BEING OFTHEIR SON.
· THEY BELIEVED THAT GOD WOULD SAVE THEIRSON FROM THE WRATH OF PHARAOH.
· THEY MAY HAVE BELIEVED THAT THEIR SONWOULD BE A LEADER AND DELIVERER OF HIS PEOPLE:
¨ THE JEWISH HISTORIAN, JOSEPHUS, SAYSTHAT AN ANGEL TOLD MOSES’ PARENTS THAT MOSES WOULD DELIVER HIS PEOPLE.
§ WHAT ACTION WAS INVOLVED IN THEIRFAITH?
· HIS MOTHER BUILT A BASKET OF REEDS ANDPLACED HER SON IN IT.
· SHE HAD FAITH TO SEND MOSES’ SISTER TOREQUEST THAT MOSES COULD BE RAISED BY HIS OWN MOTHER.
Ø FAITH IS ALWAYS A CHOICE THAT YOU MAKE.
§ YOU CHOOSE GOD OR THE WORLD. YOU CHOOSETO WALK BY FAITH OR BY SIGHT. THE STORY OF MOSES IS THE EXAMPLE.
§ THE FAITH OF MOSES:
· FOR WHAT THINGS DID MOSES HAVE FAITH?
¨ HE HAD FAITH IN GOD TO IDENTIFY HIMSELFWITH THE PEOPLE OF GOD RATHER THAN THE PEOPLE OF EGYPT.
