“Using Your Gift in Your Job or Career”
- Discussion of each students personal computerized evaluation based on his test scores.
- Remember that a person has only one dominant gift.
- Scores that appear close to a students dominant gift show related strengths.
- Scores that appear very low show a students weaknesses.
- To Develop, Enhance, and Use Your Gift Effectively:
- To Develop and Enhance Your Gift:
- Like everything else in the Christian life, using your gift takes faith.
- To develop your gift, concentrate on learning how to make it better:
- Strengthen the weak areas and the problem areas that you marked under the description of your gift.
- Determine to begin to practice using your gift with your brothers and sisters in Christ, even if there is criticism at first.
- Become comfortable with your gift by use. The more you use it, the more you will develop your own style.
- Study those in the Bible that have your gift to see how they used their gift.
- To Use your gift effectively, you will need the following attitudes:
- A deep desire to serve God to the best of your ability.
- A deep love for Gods people.
- An attitude of humility.
- Moral purity in your life.
- Respect and tolerance of others and of their gifts.
- A zeal for ministry.
- Stability in your Christian walk.
- Responsibility to God:
- Every believer is responsible to God for your gift:
- How you use it or misuse it.
- How you develop your gift.
- How you work to overcome the areas of weaknesses in the problem areas of your gift.
- You are not responsible for how your gift is received.
- Your Gift in the Work Place or Career:
- The following chart gives you the gifts and their compatibility to different jobs or careers.
- If success in a job is highly unlikely for a person with a particular gift, the job has a double minus sign in the column under that gift.
- If success is not likely, but there could be factors that enable a person with that gift to enjoy the job, the column under that gift is blank.
- If success is possible for a particular job, the column under that gift has one asterisk. *
- If success is very possible for a particular job, the column under that gift has two asterisks. **
- If success is highly probable for a particular job, the column under a specific gift has three asterisks. ***
