Passage Description:
God spoke to Jonah again to go to Nineveh and preach repentance and coming judgment.This time Jonah went. The whole city, including the king, repented having believed theword of the Lord. Because the people repented, God did not destroy the city at the end of40 days.

Evidently Jonah did not have to preach to the King, but revival spread by word of mouth until it reached the king. 10 Can God repent?

Repent here means to a change of mind and direction, not with the New Testament implication of contriteness and self-judgment.

7 This was a wise King    
8 This is the greatest revival in the Bible for it affected more than 120,000 people.
