Passage Description:
God spoke to Jonah to go to Nineveh and warn of Gods judgment because of thewickedness of the people. But Jonah went in the opposite direction by ship. God sent astorm at sea and the sailors were afraid. While Jonah slept, they cast lots to see whosefault the storm was. The lot fell on Jonah and he knew it was because of his disobedience.Jonah told them to throw him into the sea, but at first the sailors refused until thestorm continued to get worse. They all cried to God and then threw Jonah into the sea.Immediately the storm stopped, so the sailors feared God and gave sacrifice to Him. Godsent a big fish to swallow Jonah and there he stayed 3 days and 3 nights.
